Should I bring the Alto to K2K?

So as some of you know, I have a 1987 Suzuki Alto Works RS-X.

Here it is in front of the Kart 2 Kart sign even!

I’ve thought about bringing it out for the event at Kart 2 Kart in Sterling Heights, Michigan, where many people would probably like to see it. However, it’s not undercoated at all, so I’m concerned having it out on the salty, slippery, slushy Michigan roads during the winter months. What say you, Oppo? Should I bring it? or should I take the backup car?

The backup car, my mildly modified 5-speed Volvo 240 wagon.

I don’t have one of those undercar sprayers at my house, so it doesn’t work that well because there’s salt on the road between the self-serve car wash and my house.

Fair enough. I would definitely invest in undercoating the car at some point though.

Another vote for the Volvo here. The Alto can be undercoated in time for next year (if you don’t sell it by then).

I’m honestly trying to sell the car. At the value I’m asking, I’m already losing money, so I don’t really want to sink more money into it.

Undercoating for cars is useless... Just spend 30$ a month for a good chassis clean up at your local car wash and you’re good to go... Salt is not a problem for cars... Stagnant salt for month and month is bad. So just clean up your chassis afterward.

If I can drive my sa22c to Nagano for some frozen lake drifting, you’re good with the Alto in Michigan.

And don’t put undercoat protection on it... That shit is gross.
